Our Beginnings
Iron Horse Therapeutic Farm has been a long-term dream of owner Taneal Behm & her family. When she was younger, Taneal's grandmother gave her the poem "Iron Horse". After reading this poem, the dream of creating a facility where those of different abilities could experience life from the back of a horse was born.
Taneal opened NoCo Pediatric OT with Sheryl Daneman in 2013 and has been practicing equine movement ever since. In 2017 she expanded to create Integraed Pediatric Therapy Associates to provide interdisciplinary services in one building for the pediatric special needs community.
Our Vision
Iron Horse Therapeutic Farm has grown from a separate boarding facility to the current property today. We have expanded from 2 horse pens and an empty shop to 11 pens and a fully functioning therapy barn.
However, the need to continue serving more families in our community is still growing - we have begun expanding our treatment space to build an indoor riding arena with therapy rooms and office space so we can ensure safe and effective therapy for more families.
