Taneal Behm opens NoCo Pediatric OT, LLC with Sheryl Daneman. A two-woman business, Taneal practices home health and equine movement with her horse, Cookies.

Having seen the need for integrative services for families of special needs chilrdren, Taneal opens Integrated Pediatric Therapy Associates in Windsor, CO. She continues practicing equine movement at a boarding facility in Fort Collins.

Growing from one horse to a small herd and four goats, it was time to move from the boarding facility. The property that would turn into Iron Horse Therapeutic Farm is purchased. Upon purchase, the farm has 2 runs and an empty shop.

The farm has it's soft opening - the marketing of Iron Horse begins. All therapists are part time at the farm, and a majority of equine staff are volunteers. An ADA-accessible bathroom is built, 9 runs are added, and the shop is transformed to a fully functioning therapy barn.

A staff of 10 therapists split time between clinics and the farm and all equine team members are employees. The herd has grown to 10 horses and a mini donkey. 

75 families receive equine movement alone, along with 40 additional families receiving farm-based therapy. 

The farm is a site for supported employment and dementia care. It continues grow community by welcoming families and volunteers of all walks of life. It is proud to educate the next generation of occupational therapy students for level II fieldworks.
