We love having students volunteer with Iron Horse and appreciate their interest in learning more about our programs. Because Iron Horse and IPTA is a competitive and highly requested fieldwork site, volunteering does not guarantee a future fieldwork placement. To keep the process fair and equitable, all fieldwork applicants will complete the same application and interview process. Placements are based on availability, student goals, program needs, and overall fit.
