The Hands of Iron Horse
Sidewalker
Sidewalkers are responsible for assisting with set up & clean up in sessions, ensuring patient safety and working with the OT during therapeutic activities.

Horse Walker
Horse walkers work in close collaboration with OTs to challenge riders through the horse's movement. They are responsible for tacking & untacking horses between sessions and walking the horse during therapy.
Weekend Care
Weekend volunteers help the barn manager with various chores, including mucking, feeding, horse care, gardening and property management. It is a great way to help at Iron Horse and get more one-on-one time with the animals.
Horse Assistant
Horse assistants help horse walkers gather needed horses, tack/untack and return horses back to pens between sessions to help therapy transitions run smoothly.
